Jim Perry

Jim is an experienced civil engineer and lawyer. He earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1981, and a Juris Doctor in 1985 from Case Western Reserve University, ultimately making him a unique specialist for the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.  Jim is a member of the Washington DC Bar, admitted in 1985. He is a founding member of PS Consulting that he started building with his partner Geoffrey Smith back in the year 2003.

 

Throughout his career, Jim has helped his clients with a variety of services including dispute resolution and arbitration, international construction contracts negotiation, claims management, and more. Since 2008, Jim has increasingly been nominated to serve as a neutral on dispute boards and ICC arbitration tribunals around the World.

Jim is also an experienced and accredited member and trainer of The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). He also used to serve as the president for Region 2 within the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF), where he was able to apply his expertise in dispute management and dispute resolution.

 

James Perry has worked in over 40 countries on 6 continents, continuously adding to his elaborate portfolio, which includes high profile projects such as the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or a mass-housing project in Latin America. With his unique background in both law and engineering, Jim has established himself as one of the industry’s  leading professionals in dispute resolution, arbitration, and contract negotiation and procurement.
