Luca Sommariva assists Italian and international clients in contractual, corporate and bankruptcy litigation before state and arbitral tribunals (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, etc). In particular, his practice focuses in domestic and international construction projects, advising owners, contractors and sub-contractors in negotiating and drafting building contracts, managing contractual claims and representing his clients in highly complex disputes. Luca was associate at Dewey Ballantine (merged into Dewey & LeBoeuf) and before that he had been working with Prof. Antonio Crivellaro.
He graduated in law from the University of Genoa in 1997, and he is admitted to the Italian Bar Association since 2001. Luca also earned a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in International Legal Studies at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and a Master in Science (MSc) in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at King’s College, London.
From 2007 to 2011, Luca was lecturer in Commercial Law at the Faculty of Business and Economy of the University of Bergamo.
