Virginie Colaiuta is a partner of the London office of LMS Legal LLP. She acts as counsel, advocate and arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings in construction and energy projects, also based on investment treaties.
She regularly lectures at the MSc Programme of King’s College London on “Investment Treaty Protections” and "Conflicts of Laws“ relating to construction projects.
Virginie is admitted to practise as Solicitor in England & Wales, as Avocat à la Cour in Paris (France) and as Attorney at Law in New York (NY, USA).
She has an Italian law degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, a Master of Laws degree from the University of Chicago Law School and is completing a Doctoral degree at the University of
Pantheon-Assas, Paris II.
Virginie is the ICP Committee Editor in charge of the International Bar Association law magazine titled “Construction Law International”.
As a result of her experience, she has an excellent understanding of the differences between civil law and common law rules applicable to construction projects.
Her track record in construction law and international arbitration has led her to being recommended as a leader in her practice by all major legal directories, such as “Chambers & Partners”
and “Who’s Who Legal”.
She fluently speaks Italian, French and English.
